Junior Marketing Coordinator
Role Overview
Markage is hiring a Junior Marketing Coordinator focused on execution across websites, email, and content operations. You will use tools you already know and learn our workflow for task intake, approvals, and delivering work on a steady weekly cadence. This role suits an early-career candidate who wants measurable growth through consistent delivery, and it is not designed for freelancers, career switchers, or open-ended training.
What You Will Do
Marketing Coordination
- Convert incoming requests and rough notes into tasks with clear scope, priority, owner, and due date.
- Maintain a single source of truth for status, approvals needed, and next actions.
- Track dependencies and escalate blockers early with options, not complaints.
Website Support
- Execute content and layout updates in WordPress and Shopify within existing themes and standards.
- Run basic QA before anything goes live, including mobile checks, link checks, and form checks.
- Log changes made and flag issues that require deeper technical review.
Email and Content Preparation
- Build emails using templates, format content cleanly, and prepare images to correct sizes and file weights.
- Prepare simple landing-page content updates where required, using existing sections and structure.
- Schedule approved sends and posts, then confirm publish status and capture outcomes where available.
Marketing Tech Assistance
- Support setup and maintenance of forms, booking links, tracking basics, and simple integrations.
- Keep shared assets organized with consistent naming and version control.
- Follow documented workflows and update documentation when steps change.
Communication Support
- Capture requirements in calls and convert them into written summaries and task lists.
- Present drafts for review in a consistent format, apply revisions, and confirm final approval before publish.
- Use clear written updates that report what changed, what is pending, and what is needed next.
Required Skills
- Strong written English (clear, professional, concise).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro.
- Basic knowledge of Canva and email platforms (Constant Contact or Mailchimp).
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience with WordPress. Shopify familiarity is a plus—if you know WordPress well, we’ll guide you on Shopify specifics.
- Interest or familiarity with AI tools (like ChatGPT) and image generators (like Midjourney).
Preferred Skills
- Experience in both WordPress and Shopify.
- Familiarity with Adobe sound tools or other Adobe Creative Cloud apps beyond the core mentioned.
- Experience applying AI tools in creative workflows.
What We Value
- Coachability: You incorporate direction quickly and improve across iterations, while already being fluent in the core tools listed in this posting.
- Professional communication: You write clearly, confirm requirements, and summarize next steps without overexplaining.
- Reliability: You meet deadlines, manage your own queue, and surface blockers early with a proposed next step.
- Consistency: You follow standards, check your work before submitting, and maintain stable quality across repeat tasks.
- Calm problem-solving: You troubleshoot methodically, document what you tried, and escalate with evidence when something needs a deeper review.
- Execution discipline: You are comfortable performing repeatable tasks with precision, not just creative or one-off projects.
This role fits an early-career operator who wants measurable growth through repeatable delivery inside a structured workflow, using tools they already know.
