No time to keep up with your marketing?
Dex is the marketing help business owners use to stay visible and compete.
The day ends before you touch marketing. Your site sits. Posts don’t go out. Emails don’t get sent. Meanwhile, larger competitors keep showing up in front of your customers.
Dex changes that.
Dex is your dedicated marketing lead at Markage. One business at a time — yours. Share your to-do list and priorities. Dex updates your site, plans and schedules posts, and prepares simple email sends. You review and approve, then Dex sends and tracks what’s next.
A marketing studio at your side, not a staffing agency

Get a marketing studio, not another hire
You’re not dealing with a recruiting firm or overseas HR service. When you Ask for Dex, you plug into a Canadian-based marketing studio. Your Dex is a real marketing person with a Studio Desk inside Markage and pulls in web, design, and content help as needed. You send one list; your Dex coordinates it, and our studio turns it into pages, posts, and campaigns—without you managing staff, payroll, or time zones.

Make every marketing dollar work harder
When your website, emails, and ads are planned and maintained by local, experienced marketing people, the same budget brings in more calls, bookings, and sales. That is better ROAS (return on ad spend): fewer wasted clicks, more real enquiries from the money you already spend. Your Dex is a real marketer who helps tidy the whole path—from ad or post to landing page to follow-up—so more of your traffic turns into business.

Win more clients while you stay with your craft
Your time is best spent serving clients, running the team, making key decisions, and bringing in revenue—not fixing pages or chasing posts. Your Dex takes care of the ongoing marketing work so your CAC (cost to acquire each new customer) can drop over time: fewer lost leads, better follow-up, and clearer offers. You stay where you are needed most; your Dex and the studio keep you visible and competitive online.
Real Marketing Person
Your Dex is a real marketing specialist at the Markage studio. They know websites, content, and campaigns, so your requests are handled with marketing judgment—not just boxes checked.
Website Pages & Blog
Dex updates your key pages, offers, and blog. Small edits, simple landing pages, and longer articles coordinated, so your site no longer feels out of date.
Email & Simple Funnels
Dex drafts and schedules campaigns, newsletters, and follow-ups. From opt-in to the right emails, they keep it running so your list gets used, not ignored.
Social Posts & Calendar
Dex plans and schedules posts on your main channels and keeps a simple calendar. You choose what feels right; Dex makes sure content actually goes out on a steady rhythm.
Design On-Demand Access
Through Dex, you can use Markage’s Designer On-Demand. Dex turns requests into clear briefs, so you get usable ads, social graphics, email layouts, and page designs—without managing designers.
Tech Setup & Support
Dex connects the tools behind your marketing—forms, analytics, booking, email, and ads. When tech gets confusing, Dex is your first call so you don’t lose hours fixing it alone.
Campaign Task Manager
Dex keeps a live task list for each campaign—pages, emails, posts, simple ads, follow-ups. Not on the phone all day, but coordinating you and the studio so work ships in steps.
Focused On Your Business
Dex is assigned to your business—not a call pool. They work in focused blocks on your site, content, and campaigns, so your monthly time goes to marketing work, not waiting.
A better way to get marketing help
Most owners don’t need another “position” to hire.
They need a clear way to keep marketing moving without burning out or gambling on random hires.
That’s why we created Dex.
Years helping small businesses, we saw owners juggling it all: tools, freelancers, and clients. Dex is our answer, one marketing lead to keep the work moving.

What Dex is (and what it isn’t)
Dex is a real marketer on the Markage team, working from our studio desk with web, design, and content support. They focus on the basics: your site, posts, emails, and simple campaigns. Not a temp or call-centre. You choose offers and approve key messages; Dex turns them into organized work that ships.

How Dex helps you catch up
We follow a repeatable path. First, Dex helps you pick priorities—key pages, offers, channels, and how often you want to show up. You send notes or a short list. Dex turns it into tasks, coordinates web/design/content, and brings drafts back for quick review. Then we adjust and repeat so your site, posts, and emails run on a steady rhythm.

Before Dex vs working with Dex
Before Dex, marketing sits half-finished and you chase different people. With Dex, you share one realistic list. Key pages, posts, and emails get done on a steady rhythm. Dex manages the studio back-and-forth so you always know what’s done, what’s next, and what can wait. Not magic—just a clear system with a team you can rely on.

Dex is your website and page coordinator
Keeps main pages, offers, and blog posts moving instead of sitting half-finished. You send short notes; Dex turns them into clear requests for the studio so the site stays current and useful.

Dex is your campaign and simple funnel helper
When a new offer, event, or program comes up, Dex helps shape it into a small campaign: page, posts, and a few emails. That turns ideas into a simple path from “I’m interested” to “I can contact or book you.”

Dex is your email and follow-up organiser
Helps prepare and schedule straightforward campaigns and newsletters, and makes sure forms and sign-ups feed into the right lists. Fewer missed follow-ups, more people hearing from you at the right time.

Dex is your social content scheduler
Plans and schedules posts for the channels that matter most, based on a rhythm you agree on together. You share ideas in plain language; Dex turns them into regular updates without you living on social all day.

Dex is your bridge to design on-demand
Connects requests for graphics, banners, and layouts into Markage Designer On-Demand. Instead of trying to brief designers alone, Dex translates simple instructions into workable design tasks the studio can action.

Dex is your marketing tech guide
Helps set up and connect practical tools: forms, booking, basic analytics, and the core settings on the website and main platforms. The aim is to keep things working and understandable, not to drown you in software.

Dex is your campaign task manager
Keeps one shared, realistic list of marketing tasks. Pages, posts, emails, and small projects are organised in one place, so everyone sees what is done, what is in progress, and what is planned next.
MARKAGE VS. OTHER MARKETING HELP
Discover how Dex fits into your business
Marketing help shouldn’t be a gamble. Instead of hiring and managing alone, Ask for Dex gives you a real marketer in the Markage studio and a clear way to work together. Here’s how setup works.
How Ask for Dex works
1. We learn what you need help with
First, you and Dex have a short conversation by phone or video. Dex asks simple questions about your business, your website, your main offers, and which channels you want to keep (for example, site, email, one or two social platforms). Together you make a short, realistic list of what needs attention first: key pages, posts, emails, and basic campaigns.
2. We set up your Studio Desk and rhythm
Next, we set up your Studio Desk inside Markage and agree on a steady rhythm of work. That can include things like one or two website updates per month, a simple posting pattern for social, and a basic email or newsletter schedule. All of this is written down in one shared list so you can see what is planned, not just hope it will get done.
3. Dex coordinates the work through the studio
From then on, you send Dex notes and changes in plain language. Dex turns them into tasks, briefs our web, design, and content team, then brings drafts back for review. Each cycle you see what went live, what’s in progress, and what’s next. Step by step, Dex turns scattered tasks into a simple weekly system that keeps you visible.

FAQs
1. What exactly is Dex?
Dex is a real marketing person on the Markage team. They work from a Studio Desk with access to web, design, and content support, and focus on practical marketing work for one business at a time: website updates, pages, posts, emails, and simple campaigns.
2. How much does Dex cost and how is it billed?
Dex is offered as a single, full-time subscription: $1,990 CAD per month. This is a flat monthly fee for a full-time Dex assigned to your business. There are no part-time versions and no per-hour billing—just one clear monthly amount you can plan for.
3. Is Dex a virtual assistant or a recruiting/HR service?
No. Dex is not hired through a recruiting firm and is not a temp or generic VA. Dex is part of a Canadian-based marketing studio. You are working with a marketing specialist who can tap into Markage web, design, and content resources, not a stand-alone overseas worker.
4. What kind of work can Dex help with?
Dex handles day-to-day marketing tasks such as:
Updating website pages and simple landing pages
Coordinating blog posts and basic on-site content
Planning and scheduling social media posts for a small set of channels
Preparing and scheduling email campaigns or newsletters
Supporting simple funnels and follow-up sequences for offers or events
Turning your notes and ideas into clear requests for designers and web support
Helping set up practical tools like forms, booking flows, and basic analytics
All of this is organised in a shared plan so you can see what is done and what is coming next.
5. What will Dex not do?
Dex is full-time marketing support, but there are limits. Dex is not:
- A phone-based sales person taking live calls all day
- A call-centre agent handling customer service queues
- A bookkeeper, accountant, or legal advisor
- A senior ads strategist managing complex or high-risk ad budgets
You still handle sales conversations, money decisions, and specialist advice. Dex focuses on the marketing work that supports those areas.
6. How do I give work to Dex and stay in touch?
You can reach Dex in the way that works best for you:
- Phone
- Text/SMS
- Video calls (Teams or Zoom)
You can send information by email, chat, shared documents, or cloud-based storage (for example, Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar). Dex turns that input into organised tasks, coordinates with the studio where needed, and returns drafts or finished items for review.
7. What tools and platforms can Dex work with?
Dex is comfortable with common tools used by small businesses, including:
- Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva
- Zoho CRM, Salesforce, Hubspot
- WordPress, Shopify, Wix and Squarespace for websites
- Popular email platforms such as Mailchimp and Constant Contact
- Main social networks like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube
…and many others. If you rely on a different tool, Dex will review it with you during onboarding and confirm what is realistic and safe to support.
8. Am I locked into a long-term contract? Can I pause or cancel?
No long-term lock-in. Dex is a monthly subscription at $1,990 CAD, billed once per month.
- You can cancel, pause, or skip the next month as long as you do it before your next billing date. When you do this in time, there are no extra penalties or fees, and the next month will not be charged.
- The current month is non-refundable once onboarding has started or any Dex work has begun. This is because time and studio resources are already being used for your business.
- If you change your mind or made a purchase by mistake and onboarding has not started yet, you can request a full refund within 30 days of purchase, in line with our Refund Policy.
- All changes (cancel, pause, or skip) apply to future billing cycles, not the cycle that is already active.
This structure keeps things simple: one clear monthly fee, freedom to stop future months before they renew, and no refunds for an active month once Dex and the studio have begun working on your project.
9. What happens if my Dex changes?
From Markage’s side, the goal is to keep the same Dex with a client for as long as possible. However, life happens—people can move on, change roles, or face personal situations. If a change is needed, Markage will:
- Assign another Dex
- Transfer the existing notes, plans, and key details inside the studio
- Help you through a short handover so you are not starting from zero
You are never left to “rebuild everything” on your own.
10. Where are you based, and do you work with clients outside Canada?
Markage is a Canadian-based marketing studio. Dex clients can be located in Canada or abroad; what matters most is that we can communicate clearly in English and work within reasonable time zone overlap for calls and reviews.
11. How will you protect my privacy and data?
Markage follows a formal Data Classification, Retention & Disposal Policy. Client information is classified (for example, as Confidential or Restricted), and access is limited to people who need it to do the work. We follow Canadian privacy and anti-spam laws, including CASL, and only keep data for as long as it is needed for agreed services, legal requirements, or security purposes. When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted in line with our internal policy, or sooner if you ask and the law allows.
When we use third-party tools (such as CRMs, social platforms, or analytics), they are treated as trusted processors: data is shared only to deliver the service, under appropriate agreements and privacy rules. We also encourage the use of password managers and role-based logins rather than sharing a single master password, to keep access controlled and auditable.
12. I already use Markage services. How does Dex fit in?
If you already work with Markage for website design, managed websites, Designer On-Demand, or digital marketing services, Dex becomes the main person coordinating those services for you. Instead of juggling separate requests, you send everything to Dex, who then works with the studio to move the tasks forward and keeps you updated in one place.
