Get a DEX Certified Studio Expert on your marketing.

START AT $599 - 10 DAYS PILOT

One qualified lead. A recognised standard. Marketing that keeps moving.

A DEX Certified Studio Expert is your dedicated marketing lead at Markage. Share your priorities and to-do list. Your Expert updates your website, plans and schedules posts, and prepares email sends. You review the work, approve it, and your Expert keeps the next steps on track.

No more juggling tools, freelancers, and coordination.

After years of working with small businesses, we saw the same pattern again and again. Owners were trying to manage too much at once. Most do not need another role to fill. They need dependable marketing support led by someone held to a recognised professional standard. That is why Markage requires DEX certification for every Studio Expert we assign. The person is the Expert. DEX is the credential.

How to get started

Step 1: Tell us what you need

ou and your Expert have a short phone or video call. Simple questions about your business, your website, your main offers, and which channels matter most. Together you build a short list of what to work on first: key pages, posts, emails, and basic campaigns.

Step 2: Set your work rhythm

We set up your Studio Desk and agree on a steady schedule. This can include one or two website updates per month, a simple social posting pattern, and a basic email schedule. Everything is written in one shared list so you can see what is planned.

Step 3: Send notes, see progress

From now on, send notes and changes in plain language. Your Expert turns them into tasks, works with our web, design, and content team, and brings drafts back for your review. Each cycle you see what went live, what is in progress, and what comes next. Step by step, a simple weekly system builds that keeps your marketing active.

Your first 30 days: an example

Your Expert works on the areas you choose. Some clients focus only on email campaigns. Others focus on social media or website updates. You decide where to begin.

Here is one example of how the first 30 days can work:-

  • You start with an onboarding call. Together you set up a shared task list and agree on how approvals will work.
  • You choose 1 to 3 focus areas to start, such as website updates, email, social media, or campaigns.
  • Your Expert begins working on tasks in your chosen areas.
  • Drafts come back for your review and approval, then go live.
  • You review progress and adjust based on what is working.
  • Follow-up work is scheduled so nothing gets stuck.
  • At the end of 30 days you receive a summary of what was completed and a plan for the next month based on updated priorities.

Why we outperform traditional options

DEX Certified Studio Expert In-House Teams Creative Agencies Freelancers DIY Tools
Dedicated Marketing Lead ~Possible, but you manage hiring and HR. Shared coverage, not dedicated. Availability varies by contractor. No lead; tools do not manage work.
Team Location (Timezone & Culture) ~Yes, if you hire locally. ~May include offshore/shared resources. ~Can involve timezone gaps. Not applicable.
Studio Resources (Design, Web, Content) Requires multiple hires for full coverage. ~Often siloed teams and handoffs. You coordinate vendors and QA. No execution support.
Total Cost vs Hiring (CAD) $65k–$90k+/yr plus benefits, tools, and management time. $3k–$10k+/mo plus contracts and change requests. ~Variable invoices plus coordination time. ~Low tool cost, high time cost.
HR + Admin Overhead Cost Hiring, onboarding, payroll, reviews, turnover risk. Vendor management, contracts, and follow-ups. Briefing, QA, handoffs, chasing updates. Your time becomes the overhead.
Cancel / Pause Terms Employment constraints and termination costs. Often contract minimums and notice periods. ~Varies by contractor and availability. Stop anytime (your time is the cost).
Execution Rhythm ~Depends on bandwidth and priorities. Often campaign-focused, not maintenance. ~Depends on availability and response time. Often delayed without dedicated time.

Quick Fact Checks

  1. Your Studio Expert is a real marketing professional on the Markage team, not software.
  2. You are buying steady monthly marketing completion, not hourly time. One Expert owns your task list and follow-through during business hours, not unlimited same-day turnarounds.
  3. Your Expert may use AI tools when they help with speed and consistency. A person reviews before anything goes live.
  4. Working with a Studio Expert means no hiring work: no recruiting, onboarding, payroll, or day-to-day management.
  5. You have one main point of contact for continuity, with the full studio available when needed.
  6. You are not buying a fixed number of posts each week. Weekly rhythm depends on quick approvals and limited revisions. If you choose deep polish on one item, fewer items will go live that month.
  7. The goal is simple: less owner attention spent on marketing tasks, and more finished work delivered in a steady weekly rhythm.

FAQs

1. What is a DEX Certified Studio Expert?

A DEX Certified Studio Expert is a marketing professional on the Markage team who holds DEX certification. DEX is an independent credential that validates marketing knowledge and practical experience. It works the same way PMP certification works in project management: it is an externally recognised standard, not an internal Markage title. Markage requires DEX certification for every Studio Expert we assign, so you know the person leading your marketing has been independently assessed against a defined professional benchmark.

2. Is this a virtual assistant or a recruiting service?

Neither. Your Expert is a certified marketing professional based in Canada who understands the local market and is already part of the Markage team, with access to web, design, and content resources. You get qualified help right away without hiring, training, or managing anyone.

3. What kind of work can a Studio Expert help with?

Your Expert helps with standard marketing tasks that need regular attention, including:

  • Website and blog updates.
  • Social media work, including Facebook groups and inbox management.
  • Contact forms and online appointment booking.
  • Marketing design and basic video editing.
  • Simple funnels and lead generation.
  • Brochures, flyers, and presentation decks.

Your Expert handles the work. You provide direction and approval. Everything stays organised in your shared Studio Desk so you can see what is done and what comes next.

4. Do you use AI agents that run my marketing 24 hours a day?

No. AI tools can draft quickly, but they still need proper setup, accurate inputs, and careful review before posting. Most small business owners do not have time to set up or monitor AI agents every day. Your Expert may use AI tools during the work to improve speed and consistency. A person checks quality, brand fit, and errors before anything goes live.

5. What will a Studio Expert not do?

Markage provides ongoing monthly marketing execution support.

  • Your Expert does not handle sales calls or live customer service. Inbox management covers marketing-related messages and routing, not customer support conversations.
  • Your Expert does not do bookkeeping, accounting, or legal work.
  • Your Expert does not manage complex or high-risk advertising budgets. Basic ad setup and maintenance within agreed limits is available.
  • Your Expert does not replace senior specialists such as expert designers, developers, or PR professionals.

You keep control of sales conversations, financial decisions, and specialist advice. Your Expert focuses on the marketing tasks that support your business.

6. How will you protect my privacy and data?

Markage follows its Data Classification, Retention and Disposal Policy to protect your information. Your data is treated as confidential and shared only with team members who need it to complete your work. We follow Canadian privacy laws and Canada's Anti-Spam Law (CASL) for email marketing. We keep your data only as long as needed to serve you, meet legal requirements, or maintain security. After that, your data is permanently deleted. When we use outside tools such as social platforms or analytics services, we share only what is necessary under privacy agreements. You can ask us to delete your data earlier when the law permits.

7. Do I keep ownership and control of my accounts and files?

Yes. You keep full ownership of your website, domains, social accounts, ad accounts, and marketing files. Your Expert works with access you approve, using safe access practices and requesting only what is needed to complete your work.

8. What happens if my Expert changes?

Markage aims to keep the same Expert with your business for as long as possible. If a change is needed, your work continues without delay. We assign another DEX Certified Studio Expert who meets the same certification requirements. Your notes, plans, and key details stay in the studio. A short handover ensures you are not starting from zero. Because every Expert holds the same DEX credential, service stays consistent no matter who supports your business.

9. What if I have concerns about the work?

Concerns can happen and we take them seriously. Contact your Studio Manager at support@markage.ca. A manager responds within 4 business hours, not an automated system. We review the issue with you, clarify expectations if needed, and adjust the approach. If there is a true mismatch after review, we can assign a different certified Expert.

10. What if I have too many tasks at once?

Your Expert helps you sort tasks by priority. You say what is urgent and what can wait. Work stays organised so things remain on track even when your list is long.

11. How fast will I see work go live?

Most work moves in short cycles. Your Expert prepares a draft, you review and approve, then it goes live. We hold drafts for review for up to 2 business days, unless we agree something needs more time or is time-sensitive. If we do not hear back, your Expert moves to the next priority and returns when you are ready. If something is urgent, flag it and we will prioritise it in your shared task list.

12. How do revisions work?

Most items include up to two revision rounds. A revision round means one set of changes after you review a draft. If an item needs more refinement, you choose: keep refining it and put other tasks on hold, or publish a good version now and improve it in the next cycle. This keeps work moving without one item stalling everything.

13. Not ready to commit to $1,990/mo? Can I try this first?

Yes. Start with a 10-Day Pilot Project for $599 one-time. The pilot runs for 10 business days during your local Canadian business hours, 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Your Expert focuses on in-scope tasks such as email campaigns, social content planning and scheduling, website and page updates, basic funnel setup, and setup for forms, booking, or analytics. You decide how to use the pilot. After 10 business days, the pilot ends and you keep all completed work. If you subscribe within 14 days, the full $599 is credited toward your first month. There is no obligation either way.

14. How much does this cost and how is it billed?

The Studio Expert service costs $1,990 CAD each month. This is a flat monthly fee. There are no part-time options and no hourly billing. You pay one clear amount each month that you can plan for.

15. Am I locked into a long-term contract? Can I cancel, pause, or skip?

There is no long-term contract. You can cancel, pause, or skip your next month anytime before your next billing date. No penalties and no extra fees. Once onboarding begins or work starts, the current month is not refundable because your Expert's time and studio resources are already assigned to your account. Changes apply to future billing cycles only.

16. How does the work consider Canada's multicultural market?

Canada is diverse. If your business serves customers from different cultural backgrounds, your Expert can help shape marketing so your message is relevant to your customers.

17. How does the Expert adapt to different communication styles or language levels?

Your Expert works at your pace. If you prefer simpler language or more detail, say so. Communication stays in clear, plain English without jargon.

18. Where are you based, and do you work with clients outside Canada?

Markage is a Canadian marketing studio with our head office in Vancouver. Studio Experts work with businesses across Canada, matched to your local business hours, 9 to 5, Monday to Friday, in your time zone. Communication happens in English. We also support clients in the United States and Mexico with local teams in each country.

19. ow do I give work to my Expert and stay in touch?

You can reach your Expert in the way that works best for you: phone, text/SMS, email, or video calls (Teams or Zoom). You can also share information via Google Drive or Dropbox. Your Expert turns your input into organised tasks, coordinates with the studio when needed, and returns drafts or finished items for your review.

20. What tools and platforms can my Expert work with?

Your Expert can work with common tools used by small businesses, including Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, and major social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. If you use a different tool, your Expert will review it with you during onboarding and confirm what is realistic and safe to support.

21. I already use Markage services. How does a Studio Expert fit in?

If you already work with Markage for website design, managed websites, Designer On-Demand, or other services, a Studio Expert gives you one main person to coordinate your marketing work. Instead of sending separate requests to different teams, you send your work to your Expert. They coordinate with the studio and keep updates in one place.
